Job Summary:
The EMR Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and subject matter expertise for the eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic health record system. This role ensures that EMR tools align with clinical and administrative needs, improve workflows, and enhance patient care delivery. The EMR Analyst supports system configuration, troubleshooting, end-user training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the operational and technical subject matter expert for eClinicalWorks (eCW). Analyze system issues and recommend improvements to workflows and procedures. Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and resolution of EMR-related issues. Maintain and update documentation, user guides, and training materials. Collaborate with clinical, administrative, IT, and EMR teams to ensure optimal system performance. Monitor project progress, manage tickets through ServiceDesk, and support implementation of system upgrades or enhancements. Assist with end-user training and onboarding to maximize EMR utilization and efficiency. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or higher preferred. Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience with business applications or EMR systems, with a focus on eClinicalWorks. Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred. Training or helpdesk support experience is a plus. Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and ServiceDesk (ticketing system). Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing environments.
