Senior Process Engineer
to join our team and lead the development, refinement, and scale-up of our core process technology. Role Overview This position will focus on process optimization, equipment development, and supporting the design and deployment of larger-scale systems. You’ll play a key role in improving performance, ensuring operational safety, and supporting innovation across engineering and R&D functions. Key Responsibilities Design and improve chemical and thermal processes for enhanced efficiency, safety, and reliability. Develop handling systems for both gas-phase and solid-phase materials in high-temperature environments. Analyze operational and experimental data to identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations. Create process flow diagrams and support system modeling and simulation efforts. Collaborate with research and technical teams to test and validate design changes. Support the design and build-out of pilot-scale and commercial-scale equipment. Define and monitor performance metrics and process KPIs. Promote workplace safety through system design improvements, inspections, and hazard assessments. Preferred Background Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Bachelor’s or higher). 7+ years of experience in process or plant engineering roles. Experience in solids handling—especially in industries such as carbon materials, chemical production, or specialty manufacturing. Experience in designing systems from scratch. Proficient in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen, HYSYS, COMSOL) and data analysis software. Experience leading complex engineering initiatives and cross-functional projects. Demonstrated focus on safety, compliance, and operational best practices. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Seniority level
