Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a focus on clinical and numerical data Basic PC skills required for data entry and documentation

Description: The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assesses, implements, and evaluates the delivery of respiratory care services. This role involves monitoring and evaluating patient status. Ability to perform medication administration via nebulizer or metered dose inhaler. Administering humidity and aerosol therapy, medical gas administration, and incentive spirometry. Conducting respiratory mechanics, PEP therapy, pulse oximetry, chest physiotherapy, CPR, mechanical ventilation, intubation, extubating, suctioning, and bronchoscopy assistance. Responsible for assessing and delivering care/interventions to patients in non-critical care areas. Considers patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors while providing care. Performs computer entry, verifies physician orders, and documents pertinent clinical information. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team. Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient or departmental situations. Delegates and supervises tasks to appropriate staff members. Demonstrates respect for patients' rights. Establishes effective relationships with patients and medical staff. Maintains communication updates with the department. Supports departmental goals by attending in-services and completing variance reports. Organizes and prioritizes patient care responsibilities. Anticipates patient and departmental needs. Responds to emergency situations in a timely manner. Participates in mentoring of new personnel. Assists in monitoring quality and appropriateness of patient care. Participates in projects to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes independent judgment in planning operations and making decisions in a complex field. Coordinates activities with others and leads them in the same work performed. Works directly with patients and/or customers and healthcare professionals.
