The Howard University Graduate School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven professional to join our team as Assistant Director of Recruitment and Enrollment Outreach. The position sits within the Office of Graduate Student Affairs, reporting to the Assistant Dean of Graduate School Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This position requires interaction with Graduate School staff members, academic department chairs, directors of graduate studies, admissions committees, graduate faculty and graduate students, the Offices of Enrollment Management and Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, as well as the Office of the Registrar at the University. Principal Accountabilities: Execute and support comprehensive graduate recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and convert, prospective graduate students interested in our Graduate School programs. Manage wide-ranging outreach efforts to prospective graduate students, utilizing various digital marketing channels to execute targeted communications campaigns, including social media, email marketing, online advertising, and virtual and in-person events. Collaborate with academic departments to understand program offerings and to assist in effectively communicating their unique value to potential students. Execute design of visually appealing, compelling, and on-brand graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to effectively communicate the value of our Graduate School programs. Manage and optimize social media and peer engagement platforms to engage with potential candidates, showcasing the vibrant intellectual community within the Graduate School. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for attracting engaging, and converting prospective students interested in our Graduate School programs. Analyze data and key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of recruitment and enrollment outreach initiatives and adjust strategies as needed. Uses established reporting tools and enrollment CRM to develop queries for data extraction, reporting, and analysis and applies rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and data integrity for purposes of enrollment analysis. Support the management of departmental ad-hoc enrollment-related data requests from internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, both virtual and in-person, on and off-campus to engage with potential candidates and provide information about our Graduate School programs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels and platforms. Perform other related duties as assigned. Core Competencies: Strong proficiency in graphic design tools and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), as well as social media platforms. Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, including social media management, email marketing, and online advertising. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with faculty, campus officials, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds is required. Experience in using and interpreting data to inform decision-making and assess the success of recruitment and enrollment efforts. Prior advanced knowledge of data analysis and data organization in Microsoft Office Excel. Event planning and logistics coordination experience with high level of attention to detail and strong organization. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously. Knowledge of higher education enrollment trends and a passion for creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Understanding of and experience using Salesforce, Slate, or LiasonCAS (or similar CRM system) is a plus. Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or an appropriate area of specialization plus 4 years of relevant professional experience or hold a master's degree (or higher) in a relevant field of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred prior to the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Compliance Salary Range Disclosure Expected Salary Range: $63,000 - $70,000
