Faculty Position

The Department of Radiology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Vascular Interventional Radiologist (VIR) that must be ABR certified/eligible by appointment start date. This is for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor rank and will include clinical and teaching duties. As a faculty member you will be providing services at University Hospital, Robert B. Green, Medical Arts and Research Center, UT Health Hill Country and other affiliated facilities. Our hospitals are regional referral centers for trauma, oncology, surgery, general medicine and organ transplantation. Candidates must possess a Medical Degree or, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), have completed an accredited Radiology residency program, be ABR Certified/eligible, be fellowship trained in Vascular Interventional Radiology, and currently have or be able to obtain a Texas State Medical License prior to start date. Applicants should be competent in diagnostic radiology to include vascular interventional radiology procedures. Duties include teaching medical students, overseeing/mentoring residents in the performance and interpretation of Vascular Interventional Radiology imaging studies; participating in research and providing clinical care to patients; and participation in various teaching/patient management conferences.
