The Facility Maintenance Manager has a special emphasis on mechanical (HVAC), technology, computerized systems, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment. This position will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility, including maintaining the turf of athletic fields, and specific maintenance requirements for each field and grass type. The Facility Maintenance Manager will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, performance measurements, budgeting, and leadership. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Leadership Manage (hire, train, evaluate, schedule, etc.) part-time facility operations staff, interns, & volunteers

Manage and coordinate any contractors, correspond with prospective groups

Create logs for maintenance of equipment and capital plans, maintain and update all logs and manuals, for housekeeping, operations & maintenance

Monitor inventory and order supplies

Formulate and maintain hazardous materials (SSD) program

Provide knowledgeable guest service to guests through awareness of the guests, community, trends, and facility offerings

Work within the confines of a budget

Coordinate and schedule to support needed staff to support events

Understand and carry out facility policies and procedures

Responsible to open/close facility daily

Record all incidents through daily rounds during league play as MOD to ensure a safe facility and maintain OSHA and ADA compliance

Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by the General Manager

Facility Maintenance Maintain and coordinate overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility

Inventory, organize, and stock closets, toolboxes and maintenance areas

Coordinate cleaning schedule around daily activities

Have knowledge of internal building systems (sprinkler, HVAC, alarm, etc.)

Manage utilities (lights, temperature controls, heaters, etc.)

Maintain, repair, upgrade, and order equipment when necessary

Coordinate with directors on facility repairs to avoid conflicts

Contract maintenance with outside vendors when necessary and applicable to SFM's scope of services

Coordinate regularly scheduled inspections (fire, sprinkler, elevator, etc.)

Coordinate and supervise venue changeovers to support events both indoor and outdoor

Grounds Maintenance Coordinate maintenance and repairs to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of courts

Monitor all walkways and flower beds and keep clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, etc.

Develop annual court maintenance plan including repairs and cleaning

Operate all machinery correctly and efficiently

Clean and maintain parking lot

Follow up with guests to learn how the facility can be improved

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have advanced working knowledge of commercial facilities including HVAC, electrical, suppression systems, and kitchen equipment

Must have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment

Advanced working knowledge of maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping standards

Prior responsibility in managing a daily P&L, management and budget oversight

Associates degree or related degree/certificate to the position

At least 3-5 years of related experience

Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiating skills

Must be a team player with a positive can-do attitude

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent management and scheduling abilities for outside vendors & contractors

Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, A/V, etc.

Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific time period Ability to understand, learn, and utilize various computer-based systems

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend

Pushing/pulling/lifting 50 pounds

Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time

Ability to climb elevated areas to complete tasks (electric lift, catwalk, ladders, etc.)

Limited travel may be required

Facility has intermittent noise
