Mechanical Designer
The Mechanical Designer position is responsible for modeling and drawing generation of a wide range of mechanical hardware and components designed for use in elevator systems. The candidate should not only be adept at handling typical design tasks (modeling and detailing) but must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally. The designer will be a member of the Design Services Group operating out of Florence, South Carolina, which is home to the North American System Elevator Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations. Responsibilities: Provide design support to internal and external customers. Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness. Support and resolve engineering issues. Develop component and system level models and drawings. Support cost reduction efforts. Essential Skills: 5 to 7 years minimum experience in 3D solid modeling and 2D detailing using Creo. Experience using Windchill. Strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Desire and passion for innovation and creativity. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
