Accounting Administrative Assistant

The Los Angeles, CA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an Accounting Administrative Assistant. This position reports directly to the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for supporting the accounting functions at LBBS. This will be a dynamic administrative position that will require a general understanding of accounting, great attention to detail, and strict adherence to deadlines. Distribution of monthly financial reports. Receive, log, complete, and file unclaimed property forms. Follow-up on previous unclaimed property requests. Assists with all aspects of the business license and business tax filings. Participates in the annual tax compliance reporting and review. Performs other duties as assigned. Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent preferred. At least one (1) year of experience in a similar role preferred. General accounting knowledge. 10-key and PC familiarity with a proficient understanding of Excel and accounting systems. Knowledge of Access, SQL and Aderant a plus. Ability to meet manage and meet numerous external deadlines. Ability to review, understand and analyze data. Also needs good verbal and written communication skills. Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work proactively and independently, and manage time and multiple projects simultaneously.
