Department: Access & Community Connections Location: Metropolitan Campus Reports To: Project Manager, Access Comm Eng Recruitment Type: Internal Requisition ID: req4937 Employment Type: Student Union Position: Non-Union Work Schedule: M-W-W 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Job Description: Intern will be asked to provide basic computer/digital assistance at the Tri-C Access Center at Olivet (8819 Quincy Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44106) to community members with little or no basic computer skills. Intern is asked to assist them in accomplishing their online goals. For example, search the web, format a resume, use the mouse to complete job application, create a free email account, etc. Intern will need to be productive with little or no supervision. Create a daily sign-in sheet for all who enter the computer lab seeking assistance. Assist other computer lab staff from Tri-C or Olivet Church, as necessary. Monitor use of the computer lab; share with staff any computers or printers requiring maintenance. Required Qualifications: Current student attending Tri-C More than basic computer skills Familiarity with all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent customer service skills Excellent written and verbal skills Enrolled at Cuyahoga Community College Typing at least 40 w.p.m. Attention to detail Special Note: Special Instructions to Applicants: During the application process, you may be required to attach a cover letter and/or resume.
