Unit: Medical Imaging Shift: Weekend-Days (Fri, Sat, Sun 7a-7:30p) Facility: Atrium Medical Center Premier Health Mission: We Care. We Teach. We Innovate. We Serve. Premier Health Vision: To inspire better health Premier Health Values: Integrity Compassion Authenticity Respect Excellence Position Summary General Summary/Responsibilities: Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: Type of degree: Allied Health Area of study or major: Medical Imaging Sciences to include additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire Preferred educational qualifications: N/A Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration CPR Certification required MRI registry preferred ODH licensure preferred ARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A Preferred experience: One year MRI experience preferred Other experience requirements: N/A Knowledge/Skills Cross-sectional anatomy American College of Radiology (ACR) MRI Safe Practice Guidelines Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage 3 Knowledge of advanced MRI computer application
