Apparel Assortment Manager
Join our world-class QVC Group organization and drive the Apparel assortment for QVC! In this role you will manage and develop three of our exclusive private label brands at QVC, Belle by Kim Gravel, Quacker Factory and Dress out Loud by Brandis Bradley. Your Impact: Develop and execute multi-platform short and mid-range buying plans that meet or exceed the financial goals. Develop multi-platform plans that will deliver sales, productivity, adjusted gross margin, TSV achievement rates and inventory plans. Identify areas of growth while managing areas of risk. Execute the vision for Buying area. Identify and develop new products and brands that will deliver the Buying area strategy. Seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions. Drive innovation. Develop an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will deliver results. Accelerate product discovery. Lean into emerging categories and product adjacencies. Set and deliver clear goals while committing to the buying area improved performance. Curate unique products and assortments and develop storytelling that illustrates a product's features by way of its benefits and show how product will impact the customer's life. Develop talent, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team and manage performance. Develop skills and knowledge needed for high performance guided by the learning plans. Manage vendor relationships. Effectively conduct vendor negotiations that best supports business objectives. Develop strong relationships with Category Strategy, Business Development and Planning teams to execute business and product strategies. What You Bring: You hold a bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience. Ideally, we are looking for at minimum, five years' experience in a Retail Buying environment with strong leader skills to lead a buying team. You have strong presentation skills to present to vendors, leadership and key stakeholders. You have strong experience leading established apparel brands with product development experience to drive assortment strategy. You are comfortable with coming into the office at least two days per week or whenever is needed to support the business with key strategy meetings. We do not allow remote work from NY at this time.
