The Attendant Coordinator is responsible for providing quality services to Elara Caring's Personal Care Services (PCS) clients by scheduling, supporting and coordinating home and community-based services. Coordinators are expected to uphold the high quality standards of Elara Caring by ensuring compliance with established company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations. Job Requirements
Education: Employment or personal experience giving one an understanding of the issues and needs of the elderly or disabled. Two years' experience in fast-paced office preferred. Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Certification/Licensure: N/A Skills: Good communication skills both written and verbal (example); Working knowledge of Medicaid, home care benefits, policies and procedures preferred; Excellent computer skills and knowledge required; Excellent organizational skills required; Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment; Professional verbal and written communication skills required; Must be a team player, intuitive and able to interact effectively with all; Possess good management and leadership skills; Ability to motivate others in a positive manner; Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Russian, or Portuguese language may be required as needed; Knowledge of healthcare industry is preferred Transportation

Meets all applicable agency policies and procedures related to health screening and required testing. Key Accountabilities
Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring's board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Personal Care Services (PCS) team. Schedules appropriate services for all requests for homemaking, personal care, and home health aide services in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures, including staffing planned and unplanned absences. Ensures all clients w/o an attendant (CWA), holds and updates are managed per Elara Caring protocol; ensuring all regulatory documentation has been submitted timely for services not delivered or delayed start of cares. Reports CWA weekly to team and touches base with client (documents touch base in Arrow). Submits 267 (client communication form) as required. Builds and maintains all permanent schedules in Arrow. ISP Management, tracking, data entry, and compliance. Maintains accurate records of the current and prospective requested services, tasks, and/or plan of care for all clients. Enters all change of status forms for clients. Updates attendant availability as required. Assigns floating caregivers, Special Care Attendants, or fill-in caregivers as needed. Ensures compliance with 3040 and performs verbal orientations (if qualified); or coordinates the verbal orientation between the attendant and qualified staff. Maintains accurate records of the current and prospective schedule for all caregivers. Reviews and maintains contract specific documentation for applicable clients. Informs and educates each client on pertinent information required by Elara Caring policy and Federal/State regulation. Manages client complaints and initiates escalation process. Actively participates in and cooperates with strategic growth initiatives for the branch. Reviews and utilizes reports to identify and correct errors on a timely basis to ensure correct billing and payroll. Implements Elara Caring policies and procedures. Attends training sessions as directed. Maintains compliance with State, Federal, licensure, and contract related regulatory requirements. Available to provide qualified direct care services as needed. Other responsibilities, related activities, assignments, duties, and projects as assigned. Provides support, assistance, and direction to caregivers as needed. Ensures in-services, trainings, health assessments, medical requirements, certification requirements for caregivers are compliant with State, Federal, and Elara Caring requirements. Works with and counsels caregivers to improve and correct performance by escalating issues to the field supervisor. Notifies caregivers of problems or new developments in assigned area. Engages attendants on ElaraCare, monitors posts and chats daily. Maintains documentation and records for each caregiver and client. Monitors client service delivery requirements daily to ensure adequate availability of attendants (arranges immediate fill in when the attendant has not shown up for the shift). Monitors systems throughout the day to ensure authorizations match scheduled services. Reviews over-and under-utilization reports and addresses inconsistencies on a daily basis. Reviews and submits employee allegation and worker's compensation injury information to HR (or appropriate authority) in a timely manner; escalates to the attendant coordinator and/or office manager. Reviews open shifts daily to ensure shifts are staffed appropriately for care delivery. Ensures "open" shifts are deleted at the conclusion of the week. Communicates with employees, case managers, and clients in a professional and effective manner. Consults with supervisor through written and verbal reports concerning any employee or case manager issues. Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule. Follows established company policies and procedures, while representing the company in a professional and positive manner. Promotes services through positive relationships, and by actively participating in professional and local organizations and projects. Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care. Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule. Performs other duties/projects as assigned. Physical and Environmental Demands
Physically demanding, high stress environment. Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently and be able to lift 50-100 lbs. Full range of body motion including handling, lifting, and transfer of patients. Move equipment and supplies necessary for job functions. Read, speak, and write English to fulfill job functions in an understandable way. See/hear or use prosthetics that enable accomplishment of job. Meet the health requirements of the agency. Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, and repetitive motions. Cope with work involving ill, disabled, and dying patients.
