Prototype Order Specialist

The Prototype Order Specialist is responsible for managing customer prototype sample requests from initial inquiry through delivery. This customer-facing role ensures timely and accurate order response, coordination of internal processes to initiate the order, and consistent communication with customers throughout the prototype order lifecycle. Your responsibilities: Respond to customer requests for prototype samples and collaborate with the Sales team to prepare and deliver quotes. Initiate the sample request process upon receipt of a purchase order, ensuring all required information is gathered and documented. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Applications, Process Development, Sales, PPM, DSG/PSG, Customer Service) to complete the sample request form accurately and on time. Work with Customer Service to ensure timely and accurate order entry into SAP. Maintain regular communication with internal samples groups to provide customer status updates and scheduled calls during the manufacturing process. Monitor order progress and proactively address any issues or delays to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements for the role: B.S Degree in Science, Engineering or related fields. Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment. Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and quality of work with a flexible approach. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
