Job Overview: The Teletech functions under the direction of the professional nurse. The Teletech is responsible for cardiac monitor observation and reporting of cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated. The Teletech will demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstration of knowledge will include principles of growth and development and interpretation of information and data to identify the patient's cardiac monitoring needs. Responsible for applying skills and techniques common to the practice of a telemetry technician. While a Certified Nursing Assistant performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein. Education: High School Graduate. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred for Tele, required for a CNA position.
