Brief Overview of Position The Banking Associate - Team Lead will have experience within the Real Estate Banking line of business and be responsible for managing a team of Analysts. This role reports to a RM Team Lead and will be responsible for facilitating work flow, training, and mentoring Analysts. We are seeking qualified candidates with a passion for a long-term career in banking and that have extraordinary levels of motivation, initiative, and aspire to be part of a team that delivers a superior client experience. Responsibilities Review analysts work and provide feedback on credit screens, models, balance sheet committee, and other projects. Oversee training, onboarding, and compliance for new team members, ensuring all training goals are met. Keeps abreast of the latest financial and banking product knowledge, financial markets, and relevant regulations. Surfaces workflow issues and provides solutions for visibility and resolution. Ability to identify trends and implement process changes to improve both internal and external customer experience. Assist with special projects and help resolve/improve processes as needed. Manage deal flow. Mentor the analysts and support them in their career development. Schedule formal trainings. Standardize UW/Process Improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) or other relevant degree. 4.5 to 5.5 years of experience in Banking, Commercial Banking preferred or other relevant experience. Effective team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical skills - critical thinking, data and information analysis, research, and problem solving. Organizational and time management skills. Strong knowledge and application of Credit Underwriting (i.e., cash flow models, financial spreads, and credit packages). Strong knowledge of banking suite of products and services. Strong utilization of Salesforce and MS Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in order to produce reports, correspondence, and presentations High interest in outreach to, and involvement in, the communities where we live and work.
