Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell's Kitchen is hiring a full-time front-desk receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. As you join our team, expect to be supported in your work and home life with: A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and a 401(k) plan for full-time employees Professional development opportunities Salary: $20-$22 per hour Schedule: 35-40 hour work week inclusive of weekends Key responsibilities include: Greeting clients and their pets, completing the appointment sign-in process, confirming appointment details, and escorting clients to exam rooms. Ensuring accurate service and product sales accounting, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, and scheduling future appointments. Answering client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Making outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups. Understanding common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior. Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience. Qualifications include: Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor About Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell's Kitchen: We're focused on making sure our hospital has the right tools to allow our doctor and medical staff the ability to provide excellent service and care. In addition to diagnostic and preventative services, our hospitals are equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and in-house labs. Our Hell's Kitchen location is also equipped with a cold laser.
