Our Texas and U.S. Central region water solutions business has seen consistent growth driven by our clients' needs to address challenges stemming from population growth, aging infrastructure, system reliability and resilience concerns, the need to improve operational efficiency, water quality regulations, circular water/one-water initiatives, and the use of "data" to help guide decision-making. This position represents a strategic business opportunity to help the company grow its market share by providing best-in-class project management for water and wastewater infrastructure planning and design projects. The Opportunity

As the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Lead projects from planning through construction. Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making. Provide oversight of the schedule and budget using Black & Veatch's internal process and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources. Manage all aspects of medium to large water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality. Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Provide for the successful staffing of the project. Manage and lead medium to large teams of multi-discipline professionals. Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all sub consultants. This role will be designated in our business traveler work schedule. We are committed to providing a healthy, safe and flexible work environment for all professionals while helping them remain productive and connected. Our business traveler work schedule includes BV professionals who travel consistently 60% or more of their work schedule and provide flexibility around being in an office location. Days during travel weeks that are non-travel days, professionals may work in the office or at a remote location. On non-travel work weeks, professionals may work in a BV office location 3 days a week and in a remote location 2 days a week. The Team

Manages medium to large engineering projects involving multiple clients or partners Manages multiple services clients where the project team, client structure and/or project location present challenges Obtains new/repeat business on medium to large size projects; supports contract negotiations with clients Manages risk which may include lump sum, new technology, markets or new clients Acts as a project manager among responsibilities is management of a project team Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas 12+ years of relevant water engineering experience including but not limited to: water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design-build, asset management, detailed design, and construction Knowledge of local, federal, and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
