Operations Manager

Carotek, a SunSource company, provides process equipment solutions for the industrial, commercial and municipal markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. Carotek represents over 85 manufacturers as their process equipment distributor, representative, and repair center for pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, valves, instrumentation, IIoT, steam, hydronics and municipal products. The primary mission of this position is to provide leadership, management, implementation and compliance with all departmental procedures and initiatives in order to maintain the highest degree of efficiency and excellence in customer service. The Operations Manager reports directly to the President. Direct reports include the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Manager. Responsibilities include: Providing structure and training on overall direction to all departments within the company Developing knowledge of the Carotek Prophet21 (ERP) operating system to provide guidance to all groups as well as make recommendations for improvements Providing operational support for Carotek Division Managers Providing input for the yearly operations plan Reviewing and managing current initiatives as assigned by the Carotek President Providing proactive communication to all groups Working in conjunction on Pricing Policies and programs as directed by the Pricing Manager Coordinating with the purchasing team regarding operational efficiencies Warehouse - Shipping & Receiving coordination Assisting Accounting department with reporting from P21 Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations Working with management team and pricing manager to assist in developing reporting from P21 ERP for sales, inside sales team, gross margins, pricing deviations, credits, open orders, monthly invoicing futures, expediting reports and others as needed Interacting regularly with executive team and department heads to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction Investigating and introducing process improvement measures and presenting suggestions to executive team for consideration Prophet 21 Portals

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three to five years' experience in a distribution or industrial environment. Experience

At least three years of experience in a supervisory role and the equivalent of two years' experience with technical products. Experience with distribution/manufacturing operating systems and Microsoft software is preferred. Experience with ERP systems, data analytics, KPI's and metrics measures are key to the operations position. Skills and Knowledge: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and decision making skills. Analytical and capable of capturing and organizing information that assists with decision making. Ability to provide strong motivational support and work with cross-functional team integral to the success. Must be willing to travel.
