Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned machine equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Key Responsibilities

Performs skilled maintenance and repair, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines and other facility equipment. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Installs, maintains, and repairs various electrical control circuits, including single-phase and 3 phase systems. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Reads and interprets schematics and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. Performs routine maintenance and minor repair of building interior and exterior, including minor plumbing, carpentry, interior lighting such as ballasts and lamps, interior fans, etc. Performs minor routine maintenance on HVAC (changing air filters etc.) Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts, and repairs to meet regulatory compliance and budget constraints. Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Makes repairs to equipment as needed. Maintains and installs electrical systems and fixtures. Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit. Uses hand and power tools and ensures tools and equipment are maintained and repaired. Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities. Orders approved supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Assists higher-level mechanics. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of two (2) years industrial maintenance experience to include mechanical and electrical Experience working with HMI and PLC Forklift Certification required Valid Driver License in good standing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Strong welding and fabricating skills, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in a food processing environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow Flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities Display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel, whether individually or in a team environment Must be able to effectively manage time by organizing and planning work Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisors, and management personnel Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
