Performs a variety of routine and basic job duties related to the direct and indirect care of residents and patients in our long-term care and sub-acute care units. Performs all assigned duties in a safe and effective manner. Duties include but are not limited to taking and recording vital signs, toileting, dressing, bathing, grooming, and transferring patients/residents. Additional indirect care duties include maintaining patient and resident areas in a clean and neat fashion. Continually orients residents/patients to their environment and interacts with residents/patients, family members, staff and others in a positive and respectful manner. Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required plus NYS Certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Six months experience is preferred, Must have good oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English well enough to communicate verbally and in writing with staff, patients/residents and visitors.
