Residential Support Specialist
The Residential Support Specialist is a Direct Service position responsible for providing assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Serious Mental Illness. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centered services guided by Positive Practices and Person-Centered Planning. Key Responsibilities: Provide support, training, and supervision to individuals in a respectful and dignified manner. Actively participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, contributing to service planning and implementation. Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and problem-solving in daily interactions. Ensure smooth operation of services, including remaining on-site during unforeseen emergencies until relief staff arrives. Flexibly relocate to other facilities/programs as needed to meet staffing requirements. Maintain positive relationships with internal/external partners and individuals supported, exceeding service expectations. Address and resolve complaints in a compassionate, courteous, and solution-focused manner.
