The Director of FP&A is a vital member of the CFO organization, providing direct financial oversight and strategic decision support for Texas Capital Bank. This role leads the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis functions of the bank, playing a critical part in delivering financial insights and recommendations that support executive decision-making, drive profitability, and ensure long-term financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in commercial banking, strong leadership capabilities, and a forward-thinking, strategic mindset. Responsibilities: Lead the development of annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and quarterly forecasts.
Partner with executive leadership to align financial planning with strategic goals.
Provide scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across business units.
Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages to senior management and the Board.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial guidance and support.
Drive accountability through financial insights and performance reviews.
Support product pricing, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
Serve as the strategic product owner for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), leading system optimization initiatives to enhance business value and support data-driven decision-making.
Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team.
Foster a collaborative and analytical culture within the finance function.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a commercial bank or financial institution.
Strong understanding of banking products, balance sheet management, and regulatory environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Drive enterprise-level financial analysis and reporting through expert use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, enabling scalable insights and executive-ready deliverables.
Proficiency in Oracle EPM / Hyperion Essbase.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
High integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
