Job Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance projects inside QinetiQ. The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations in support of military operations and infrastructure. This role requires expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and hazardous materials handling. The EHS Manager will also collaborate closely with the corporate EHS team to align site-specific practices with company-wide policies, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs in compliance with U.S. Army, host-nation, international regulations, and corporate EHS protocols. Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring adherence to OSHA, DoD, Army Safety Regulations (AR 385-10), and host-nation environmental laws. Oversee hazardous materials management, waste disposal, and environmental protection programs to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impact. Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety practices. Support emergency response planning, disaster preparedness, and contingency operations, while aligning with corporate emergency protocols. Provide EHS training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and military personnel, ensuring alignment with corporate training standards. Liaise with U.S. Army officials, host-nation authorities, and subcontractors to ensure seamless EHS operations and effective communication. Collaborate with the corporate EHS team on incident reporting, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement efforts. Share site-specific safety data and trends with the corporate EHS team to support enterprise-wide reporting and analysis. Develop and track EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in EHS management within government contracting, defense, or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of U.S. Army safety policies, contract requirements, and international environmental standards. Experience conducting risk assessments, safety training, and compliance audits. Familiarity with hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and emergency response planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and EHS management software. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with military personnel, contractors, and local authorities. Ability to stand, walk, and conduct field inspections in various environmental conditions. May require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. SECRET or higher security clearance Preferred Qualifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification. Experience working with European environmental and labor laws. Background in aerospace, defense, or logistics operations. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance standards. Company EEO Statement
