Reporting to the Finance Sr. Director, the person in this role will lead a team overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. Hybrid Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assigned responsibility for corporate business unit and other small business units not already assigned to a financial leader Oversees accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems Maintain internal controls and safeguard the company assets Key individual who is responsible for ensuring a successful financial statement audit Oversees the preparation of the financial statements and other financial and operating reports. Performs appropriate financial analysis Manages the local reporting to the parent company for consolidation of the financial statements Assists in preparing the annual financial plan and monthly financial forecasts Establishes required financial controls and monitors compliance. Ensures control environment meets the standards of JSOX Responsible for compliance with Japanese and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Supervises and prepares account reconciliations Enforces compliance with Policies and Procedures and Limits of Authority Manages and develops the accounting staff Performs special projects Other duties as apparent or assigned Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Finance or Accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree 12+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, to include senior-level financial or accounting positions 8+ years of people leadership experience Direct experience partnering cross-functionally with business unit leaders on the application of accounting standards and P&L analysis ERP system experience using Oracle, SAP, or similar Strong ability to influence across the organization and successfully lead large, cross-functional projects Work Sponsorship is not available for this role Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Master's degree preferred) and a CPA Prior direct experience in a Controller (or similar) position Experience in the manufacturing (or similar) industry Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% an employee contributes and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions Company provided life insurance + optional employee-paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage, and voluntary accident coverage Short-term and long-term disability 120 hours (3 weeks) Paid Time Off for new employees + 11 company-paid holidays 40 hours (1 week) Sick Time The typical salary for this position ranges from $126,100 to $193,100 in MN plus a 25% annual variable bonus. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
