Hallcon EV Operations Center (EVoc) Charging Specialist

We are inviting the right leader to join our team and help us drive rapid growth. We are seeking a Charging Specialist to join our EV Operations Center (EVOC) supporting commuter shuttle services. This position will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, availability and reliability of our EV fleet. This position will support day-to-day operations, monitor charging activity and troubleshoot issues in real time to maximize uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience with EV charging technology, and operational dashboards used to monitor fleet performance, charging status, and system health. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of EV charging assets, ensuring proper maintenance, efficient utilization, and readiness for operations. Track the charging status of electric vehicles (EVs) and ensure readiness Coordinate with the operations coordinator team to optimize charger use and scheduling Assist with plugging and unplugging of the EV vehicles during operational hours Serve as the primary contact for technical escalations, diagnosing and repairing issues with EV charging stations, and other related equipment. Conduct planned and unplanned service & maintenance tasks, overseeing inspections to ensure efficient operation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to troubleshoot issues, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements for EVOC operations. Monitor EV charging network through remote diagnostics systems and dashboards. Identify, report, and resolve charging station errors, anomalies, or downtime in coordination with field service teams. Respond to alerts and incidents related to charging performance, power levels, and connectivity issues. Perform routine checks and analyze data to detect usage trends, underperforming assets, or potential capacity constraints. Support energy and demand management strategies, including load balancing and scheduled charging. Help optimize charging schedules and site usage based on operational priorities and vehicle routing needs. Provide regular reporting and insights to the Director and Manager of EVOC. Travel as required (10-15%) to operational sites and client locations to provide leadership presence and support. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred). 13 years of experience in EV infrastructure, fleet operations, technical support, or related fields. Familiarity with EV charging systems (Level 2, DC fast charging). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and act on insights. Proficiency with operational platforms, ticketing systems, and monitoring dashboards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
