The Information Systems Intern will be responsible for managing and enhancing ETO, the primary database of the International Rescue Committee's New York program office. The intern will receive hands-on experience with database management, API calls, and software development. The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with other interns, program teams, and senior leadership to build product enhancements and optimize workflows. The intern will complete a large-scale project connecting multiple data management systems via a custom-built API using Power Automate. This intern will complete the internship with enhanced technical skills, problem solving capabilities, and a robust project portfolio. Responsibilities

Identify areas for workflow optimization and build automations as necessary. Design, build, and test API calls including GET and PUSH requests. Work with Power Automate to connect our database to our existing business processes. Address any user inquiries relating to ETO or Power Automate as assigned. Assist with creating new touchpoints and entities in ETO as necessary. Assist with batch uploading data into ETO as necessary. Learning Objectives

Gain firsthand knowledge of ETO, a primary information system used by Humanitarian Nongovernmental Organizations and how it can be used to scale social impact. Enhance problem solving capabilities by engaging in solutions architecture in a professional setting. Expand technical capacity by building automations that optimize staff workflows.
