Vice President for Commercial Banking Oil and Gas
Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President for our Commercial Banking Oil and Gas team. In this role, you will: Lead the underwriting and portfolio management of new Commercial Banking oil and gas clients and prospects. Serve as an advisor to lead Oil and Gas financings, including Reserve Based loans and lines for upstream clients and cash flow based loans and lines for midstream companies. Provide for the full suite of solutions offered by Wells Fargo to select Oil and Gas companies to meet the most complex and significant needs across multiple areas of the enterprise that may require an in-depth evaluation, by engaging product organizations to develop client specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions; may coordinate highly complex activities and resolutions. Assist others with the preparation of client presentations and underwriting of new commercial banking clients Lead the structuring, modification, and renewal of Oil and Gas credits and certain other industry specific solutions within Commercial Banking by analyzing financials and financial projections, presenting to clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and partnering with senior peers to execute more complex transactions Review, understand, and offer the full suite of complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to commercial clients to meet complex needs that require solid understanding and an in-depth evaluation, by engaging product organizations to develop client specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and middle to senior level managers to resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo's business objectives, by helping clients navigate Wells Fargo's processes, escalating inquiries when needed, and identifying and recommending opportunities for process improvements and risk control enhancements; serve as a mentor for less experienced colleagues Provide support in relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems Assist in the training and development of junior resources within the division Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Knowledge, understanding and experience in the Oil and Gas industry including: upstream reserve based lending, midstream lending as well as other core banking products and services, such as commodity hedging and treasury management Experience in taking a leading role in preparing underwriting packages and cash flow modeling for clients Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Job Expectations: This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship This position offers a hybrid work schedule Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
