Part Time Remote ESOL Instructor

The YMCA of Greater Boston's International Learning Center is leading the way in adult English education. We're looking for dedicated educators ready to make a real difference. For over two decades, we've helped thousands of immigrants build the skills they need to thrive in the U.S. Now, we're hiring a Remote ESOL Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction and help our learners unlock new opportunities. About the Role

This position is ideal for passionate educators who believe in equity through education. As a Remote ESOL Instructor for our DESE Level 4 (Intermediate) class, you will deliver engaging, goal-driven instruction to a diverse group of adult learners. Position Details: Class Schedule:

Monday, Thursday and Wednesday, 6:008:30 PM (Zoom) Total Weekly Hours:

12.5 (7.5 hours teaching, 5 hours planning), additional Biweekly meeting hours, and PD hours. Tools Used:

for teacher orientation, and graduation Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Teach adult ESOL learners from diverse backgrounds with clarity, structure, and purpose. Design and deliver contextualized lessons aligned with the Massachusetts English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS). Incorporate student goals to create a learner-centered, results-oriented classroom. Integrate digital literacy and employment skills into the curriculum. Use Zoom, Google Classroom, and other educational tools to support instruction. Track student progress using formative and summative assessments. Partner with Education and Career Advisors to align learning with career goals. Attend bi-weekly team meetings and contribute to curriculum refinement. Maintain accurate attendance and documentation in a timely manner. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required

(Education background strongly preferred) TESOL/TEFL/TESL certification preferred Tech-savvy and confident using Zoom, Google Suite, and digital platforms Strong classroom management and communication skills Committed to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching Authorized to work in the United States Willing to attend professional development and team meetings Bilingualism is a plusbut a commitment to high-impact teaching is essential Job Benefits
