Indiana Connections Academy (INCA) is a tuition-free, virtual public charter school for students in grades K-12 throughout Indiana. INCA is authorized by Ball State University and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Indiana Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Indiana, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school was founded in 2010, as part of the Indiana Department of Education Virtual School Pilot Program, and became a charter school in the fall of 2011. INCA is accredited by Cognia. We are leaders in virtual education who empower all students to learn, grow, and shape the future. Accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Working from our office in Indianapolis, IN, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily administrative tasks of the school such as answering phones and email, receiving visitors, assisting the principal and teachers with administrative tasks, filing and other duties as assigned. Responsible for all student-level mailings for discipline, engagement, encouragement Outreach phone communications to families Incoming phone communications Lead parent informational meetings about school policy Handles District Notification updates for assigned levels Supports the enrollment, withdrawal, and ITR process for assigned levels Maintain office inventories and order supplies as needed All other duties as assigned Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications is essential Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Customer focused approach High degree of flexibility Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced team environment
