Job Description: Ability to complete all phases of process including machine/equipment operation, setup, troubleshoot and correct process deficiencies Ability to develop process/procedures to customer requirements Work with minimum supervision and a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions while ensuring a safe workplace Participate in productivity improvements Proficient in problem solving in manufacturing processes Ability to lead problem solving exercises Be able to offer ideas to improve quality, manufacturing and efficiency within the department Must have working knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring devices and equipment, good mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills Primary Responsibilities: Check finished parts for defects, maintain adequate supplies of miscellaneous items used in department and requisition parts needed, and assist in daily operation of department when supervisor is out Must be able to operate, set up and trouble shoot all equipment Occasionally relieve operators in production lines (applicable to production departments) Must be able to train others in the operation, set up, troubleshooting of equipment, and manufacturing processes Should be able to offer and design ways to improve quality, manufacturing and efficiency within the department Should constantly promote and improve safety Must be able to safely operate and drive forklift as well as operate any other material handling equipment Must be able to communicate problems and resolutions to management Must have own toolbox and tools needed to perform the job Complete production documentation and reports Perform all 5s, TPM and SMED responsibilities assigned First Brands Group is a proud equal opportunity employer.
