Annuity Valuation Data And Process Steward

The Valuation Data and Process Steward will play a critical role in supporting the production processes for all annuity and retirement products. This position focuses on operational excellencedriving automation, optimizing data flows, and improving end-to-end valuation processes. The role is not responsible for validating financial results but ensures the underlying systems, data, and workflows that support valuation are efficient, reliable, and well-governed. What you'll be doing Develop deep knowledge of monthly, quarterly, and annual valuation cycles for GAAP, STAT and Tax reporting. Assess current-state valuation processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities. Assist in enhancing financial reporting controls and governance frameworks. Increase transparency, efficiency, and governance of processes by maintaining clear and up-to-date process and production documentation. Redesign model input extraction using trusted data sources and approved repositories. Improve ingestion of model outputs using platforms like Dataiku and ensure data is structured for downstream reporting and analytics. Streamline valuation processes using an enterprise automation platform. Redesign reporting processes to leverage harmonized data warehouses. Assist automation of valuation exhibits and analytics dashboards using tools like Tableau with minimal manual intervention. Help reduce manual deliverables by transitioning to more automated solutions. Maintain and update the data dictionary using an enterprise data governance software to ensure consistent data definitions and traceability across valuation processes. Collaborate with IT, actuaries, data engineers, and other cross-functional partners to deliver robust and sustainable operational solutions. Maintain reporting processes to accommodate changes due to financial transactions, reinsurance agreements, or regulatory updates. What we're looking for Must-have: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in insurance, valuation operations, or data process roles (annuity experience a plus). Excellent documentation and communication skills. Detail-oriented with continuous improvement mindset. Nice-to-have: Experience with data storage/database management tools such as SQL Server and Dataiku. Proficiency in data Analysis & visualization tools like Tableau, SAS, and Microsoft Excel. Exposure to orchestration/workflow tools like Appian. Familiarity with valuation software such as GGYI-AXIS.
