Job Description:
The Nursing Department invites applications to teach in OCC's CNA workforce program.
Major responsibilities include teaching clinical instruction and evaluation, lab instruction and evaluation; student mentoring and ensuring strengthening of knowledge, skills and competencies
The successful candidate will: Use appropriate technology to deliver and enhance learning. Be innovative in the presentation of hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes. Assess learning outcomes and provide timely feedback. Be responsive to student questions and available for student support; Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education; Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Workforce position (CNA):
Current NYS RN registration and CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.
Additional Information:
Rate of pay is $45.00/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. This position will begin in March, 2025.
