Key Responsibilities

Lead Preventative Maintenance:

Oversee and execute proactive preventative maintenance programs for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, laundry equipment, ice machines, and fire safety equipment, ensuring compliance with brand standards and local regulations. Maintain Property Standards:

Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets or exceeds hotel brand and guest expectations for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. Safety & Compliance:

Enforce safe working practices and maintain compliance with OSHA, health department, and fire safety regulations. Work Order Management:

Manage a digital work order system, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of all maintenance requests and repairs. Guest Room Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas after maintenance, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining detailed records. Team Leadership:

Hire, train, coach, and supervise maintenance staff. Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed. Project Coordination:

Assist with the coordination and supervision of contracted capital improvement projects. Emergency Preparedness:

Train staff on emergency procedures, life safety protocols, and proper use of fire and safety equipment. Cross-Department Support:

Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve maintenance-related concerns quickly. Regular Property Walkthroughs:

Conduct scheduled property inspections, identify deficiencies, and ensure timely resolution. Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or technical certifications preferred. Experience:

Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience, ideally in a hotel, hospitality, or related technical field. Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and safety regulations. Leadership:

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with maintenance management software is a plus. Time Management:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to Detail:
