Job Summary
First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking to employ an AGACNP/PA-C with specialization in Gastroenterology to join their growing employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida. Sarasota is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa. The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, world-class beaches, excellent schools, and a wide variety of activities for all ages. Our Gastroenterology practice was developed in 2020 and has quickly expanded to eight (8) Board-Certified Gastroenterologists, four (4) Advanced Gastroenterologists, and 13 Advanced Practice Providers caring for the communities of SMH-Sarasota and SMH-Venice hospital. Perform physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of patients with GI related conditions in the hospital and out-patient setting. Four (4) 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will include one weekend a month. No call requirements Open to new graduates, will train an enthusiastic team player with a passion for GI. Requirements: ANCC/AACN or NCCPA Certified with a license to practice in Florida. ACLS/BLS required. Qualified candidate must be flexible and adaptable to change. - Prefer ability to work independently and collaboratively.- Prefer demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills.- Prefer ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting.- Prefer demonstrated clinical competency skills.- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing.- Prefer demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing.- Prefer effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.- Prefer effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills.- Prefer knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.- Prefer knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs.
