Responsible for the oversight of Supply Chain Operations daily activities and team members of the Health System's receiving, distribution, and mail room departments. Monitors staff, making sure proper data entry occurs. Acts as liaison for Coastal Community Health and directs customers to respective designee. Responsible for conducting physical inventories. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, DNV survey requirements, and national patient safety standards.Supervises and trains the central supply team members on the supply chain systems to including Aperek/Mediclick, Supply Scan, GHX (EDI process) and other systems used in the Supply Chain area. Trains Health System team members on Aperek/Mediclick, Supply Scan and other systems used to procure or track the ordering of supplies, inventory management and purchasing systems. Ensuring that the systems are functioning properly, effectively and used to their potential.Ensures that CDM's for all chargeable supplies in the PAR areas (LUM) are set up correctly and maintained. Assists with annual and periodic inventory counts using hand held devices.Researches and addresses all supply chain recalls, ensuring proper documentation and follow thru is completed.Responsible for distribution and management of mail room functions. Responsible for overseeing receiving and distribution of supplies are done in a timely manner.Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards including Federal, State, local and Joint Commission.Leads procedural areas supply chain and charge capture functions and staff to meet nursing and physician preferences in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner.Collaborates with directors and managers of various departments in budget preparation, cost monitoring and variance accountability.Performs additional and/or related duties as assigned.
