Under direct supervision of the Fire Alarm Inspection Manager, performs general inspection, testing, corrective and preventative maintenance of fire/life safety equipment throughout PIH Health. PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. Knowledge and experience in testing suppression systems and special extinguishing systems such as Halon and FM-200. Strong communication skills; excellent telephone manner; strong English and grammar skills. Strong organizational skills; detail oriented; accurate. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision, and under the pressure of deadlines. in servicing and troubleshooting Fire/Life Safety Systems and their components, specifically (Edwards EST-3) Required Experience
Required: High School, GED or trade school graduate preferred with courses in arithmetic, mathematics, and electricity. Minimum one (3) years of experience in fire life safety inspections and testing. Demonstrate competence in electrical mechanical and fire life safety equipment. Valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance. Preferred: Hospital experience Intermediate level computer skills; specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to read blueprints and sequence of operations. Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 25. Ability to operate all types of Fire Alarm Systems which will also include the disabling of these systems. EST-3 Certified. NICET Certified (Level 2 or currently in process). Los Angeles Chief's Regulation 4 Certificate of Fitness or currently in process (in one or more categories). Minimum Salary
