Instructor, Sr Ops (Nuc)
Conducts training for licensed, non-licensed, and shift technical advisors in nuclear plant operations consistent with NRC and INPO requirements. Job Duties/Responsibilities Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using systematic approach to training. Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned. Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified non-licensed operators. Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions. Minimum Requirements Minimum education required of the position. Desired: B.S. Degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent. Minimum experience required of the position. At least 5 years of front-line experience (commercial or military) and technical proficiency in instruction -AND- current or previously SRO licensed or certified with 2 years as a fully qualified instructor to include simulator floor instructor qualification -OR- 2 years on shift SRO licensed experience. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position. Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Required: SRO license or certification on BWR, PWR or both. Note: Operations instructors require an SRO license or Certification on the applicable unit prior to teaching Licensed Operators.
