Telemetry Technician

As a Telemetry Technician, you will support several patients in monitoring their cardiac rhythms and assist in communicating changes in condition to the care team. This non-direct care role is best for someone with great attention to detail, technologically adept, and compassion for others. Join us in providing the best care to our patients! Perform various activities regarding telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring. Oversee and communicate cardiac patterns on telemetric devices. Maintain telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory. Document irregular rhythms and monitor changes in heartbeat. Forward changes to nurse and/or attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Prior Telemetry or EKG technician experience preferred Direct care as a Patient Care Tech or CNA preferred Interest in cardiac rhythms Other duties as assigned Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana has been providing rewarding careers in healthcare for over 148 years.
