General Description:
The Engineering Document Control Technician supports the Information Management - Document Control Lead by ensuring that all documentation is managed, organized, and maintained in accordance with project requirements, internal standards, and regulatory compliance. This office-based role is responsible for accurate processing, distribution, and archiving technical documentation. This is a 40 hour week office position in Anchorage AK
This position will be responsible for driving Kakivik's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Essential Duties & Job Functions:

The Engineering Document Control Technician will be under the direction of the Information Management - Document Control Lead and will ensure the following essential duties
Document Tech Monthly Critical Drawing Distribution Assemble red lines/turnover package associated with MOC/Project Prep turnover packages for As-Building Release drawing updates to Master library Sign-off MOC tasks Update EPT metadata (i.e., Properties, Status, etc.) EPT closure and/or cancelation Track and report status of work in queue Customer Support Engineering Work Packages: setup up project folder; assign new numbers; QC; IFC; etc. Process Vendor data Research support Scanning support (physical/electronic) Database Support EDDI user support: add/modify/deactivate user accounts User training Demonstrate and ensure an overall commitment to safety. Miscellaneous Able to work in a team environment. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Other Duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic ability to read and understand engineering docs/drawings Understanding of engineering and construction workflow from: Design > IFC > Install > As Built Organized and keen ability to deliver efficient reporting Ability to effectively communicate information to co-workers and management Attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional customer service skills. Must have a hands-on approach and be involved in all activities with strong understanding of the process from beginning to end. Desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment; adaptable. The ability to provide outside-the-box solutions to drive efficiencies, and cost savings. Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Valid driver's license with no restrictions is required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (formatting, tables, formulas, etc.) Strong organizational and file management skills Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of engineering, construction, or oil field operations Prior document control experience Understanding of document controls processes including versioning, revision log, numbering, etc.. Work Environment:

MOBILITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses computers on a daily basis. He/she is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May require light physical effort such as stooping, bending, reaching and occasional lifting of lightweight objects up to 25 lbs. HEARING: The employee frequently is required to talk or hear while answering phones, working with customers, clients, supervisors, etc. VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner. Ability to see and complete work on a personal computer and read color coded writing on equipment forms, etc.
