Position Overview

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support a large program. Excellent judgment and communication skills are required. The ideal candidate thrives in a building and leading a collaborative team environment delivering innovative solutions to meet mission goals. Must have demonstrated experience explaining complex technical concepts in plain language to federal government clients. Location: Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of the assigned programs/projects to ensure compliance with technical requirements, schedule, and budget. Assist in leading interdisciplinary teams, serve as the primary interface with the customer, subcontractors, and other third parties. Assist in controlling expenditures, report monthly actual performance, and create forecasts using an Estimate to Complete (ETC) process. Assist the Senior Program Manager with administrative documentation for subcontractor execution, procurement, finance, etc. Assists the Senior Program Manager in providing input for financial and technical briefings on program/contract status to senior level management via Program Management Reviews (PMRs). Assists in the coordination and logistics of both Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in support of mission-related activities. Create and track purchase requisitions (PRs) for materials and subcontractors. Liaise with the Senior Program Manager and functional managers to develop program resource plans and direct assigned program resources. Assist in the generation and delivery of weekly status reports (WARs), contractor deliverables reporting (CDRLs), program management review presentations (PMRs), and other program status updates and highlights. Coordinates and attends technical meetings between the customer and subcontractor(s), records actions and provides a status update to the Senior Program Manager. Assist Senior Program Manager in business development opportunities. Support company sales, profit, and growth objectives. Required Qualifications

B.S in business, technical, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience with 15+ years of experience or Master's degree, and PMP certified. 10+ years of related experience with federal customers in a program, operations, or technical leadership role. Organizational skills, a detail-oriented workstyle, and the ability to communicate highly technical and complex topics to customers, senior leadership, and interdisciplinary teams. Strong customer management skills - must be able to assist the Senior Program Manager with managing complex technical programs which are milestone performance and financially driven. Desire to learn to perform scope/requirements analysis

must be capable of working with a customer to translate the customer's wants and needs to top level scope and requirements. Estimating

must be capable of working with subject matter experts to develop estimates for duration and cost. Familiarity with federal acquisition regulatory process. Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams/Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Deltek CostPoint or similar MRP/ERP software systems. Must be able to readily adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to maintain a security clearance from the U.S. government. Security Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate federal security clearance. Background investigation required. Must be U.S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting federal homeland security initiatives and federal law enforcement clients. Certified Project Manager or demonstrated experience successfully deploying project management best practices. Experience developing and leading collaborative team environments. Experience deploying comprehensive risk management systems and best practices. At least five years of experience leading large teams for a federal government client.
