We are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer specializing in underground utilities. This role involves the installation of various underground piping systems, such as sewer, storm drain, water, and irrigation lines. Responsibilities
Install underground piping systems including sewer, storm drain, water, and irrigation lines. Grade trenches and ensure proper pipe alignment and elevation using lasers, levels, and other tools. Cut, lay, and join various types of pipe including PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, and concrete. Assist with trench shoring and safety compliance. Operate hand and power tools to prepare pipe bedding and compact backfill. Work closely with equipment operators to coordinate trenching and pipe placement. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols. Support crew members and supervisors with general labor and site preparation. Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in underground utility or pipe installation. Familiarity with trench safety, pipe materials, and installation techniques. Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and grade stakes. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in trenches, and perform manual labor in varying conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Valid driver's license preferred. Leadership skills to lead a team of 5-10 pipe layers in the field. Eagerness to grow and excel in the field as a foreman with potential to become a superintendent. Why Work Here?
