Adjunct Faculty Member
Barry University in Miami Shores seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Fundamentals of Speech. Candidates should possess a master's degree or equivalent in Communication or a related field. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, fostering student participation, and assessing speech performances. Deadline: Review of applications are on a per semester basis as needed. In collaboration with the appropriate academic/director, the Adjunct Faculty will: Produce a comprehensive syllabus.
Create, administer and evaluate exams, papers and projects.
Employ appropriate academic online resources (e.g., Canvas, etc.).
Schedule at least one office hour per week, per course section, to address students' questions, issues, concerns, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements: A master's degree or higher in Communication (or closely related area) and 18 graduate hours in Speech/Communication discipline (or closely related)
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
