Duties & Responsibilities - Design Engineer•Designs custom systems based on customer specifications according to department and company standards.•May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost, efficiency and reliability.•Works to ensure that design drawings and related details are completed within timeframes required.•Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.•Works under immediate supervision.•Uses computer assisted design/drafting (3D CAD) software to develop designs and schematics.•Creates and revises production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).•Follows quality management system requirements for document and process control.•Builds Bills of Material in ERP system at either quote level or order level.•Makes changes and corrections in mechanical design throughout the life of a project or product.•Makes production drawings of components and systems, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.•Communicates with all departments regarding new and revised prints and BOMs.•Communicates with customers and suppliers regarding details of parts, assemblies, systems, and requirements.•Considers performance, safety, patents, goals and regulatory requirements when designing products and systems.•Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design effort.•Other duties as assigned.Duties and responsibilities - Software Controls Engineer•Define overall control system architecture and requirements for new products.•Write code / develop controls programs for a variety of platforms and applications.•Design, development, and integration of electrical control systems products using knowledge of current technology to deliver innovative design solutions for best-in-class electrical controls.•Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and software to meet required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. This includes new products, product line extensions, incremental updates, and maintenance releases.•Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Service, and Commercial teams.•Other duties as assigned.Requirements•Experience with electrical controls systems design, development, and integration into industrial applications.•Experience with Rockwell Automation PLCs and PLC programming or similar platform.•Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or related field and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.•Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience in ERP/MRP Systems.
