The Department of Gerontology at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting for a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Your application will be active for one year. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Meet all designated course instruction guidelines. Plan course content based on specific knowledge and expertise in gerontology. Topic areas may include, but are not limited to: trauma-informed care, end-of-life, spirituality and aging, or financial management. Design and develop course content, syllabus, learning objectives, and assignments. Facilitate course engagement and student assessment. Qualifications: Master's degree in gerontology or related field. Subject matter expertise in the topic and subject of the course being designed and taught. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of professionalism, respect, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU. Membership in gerontology professional organizations. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not to be used as part of the application submission or process.
