Machine Operator
We are seeking skilled machine operators to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating blow molding machines and equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, performing change-overs, and ensuring maximum efficiency of the equipment. You will also conduct hourly quality checks on plastic bottles, adjust machine weights as necessary, and work with scales and small hand tools. Training will be provided for the lock-out/tag-out process. Operate blow molding machines and equipment efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems promptly. Perform change-overs on machines to maintain productivity. Conduct quality checks on plastic bottles every hour. Make necessary weight adjustments on machines. Work with scales and adjust weights as needed. Use small hand tools provided by the company. Ensure all safety functions, guards, and shields are in place and functioning. One year of machine operating experience. Experience with machine operation, plastic handling, and being mechanically inclined. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with injection molding machines and plastic injection processes. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Experience in blow molding or injection molding is highly desirable. The facility can get hot during the summer. The role involves working third shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, with two 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime is generally voluntary but may require one mandated Saturday per month, averaging 40-50 hours per week. A $1.50 premium is provided for night shifts, and safety gear such as steel-toe shoes is mandatory. Shorts and sleeveless shirts are not allowed. The pay range for this position is $24.25/hr.
