Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Under the general direction of the Director of Cardiology Services, the Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic echocardiograms for subsequent interpretation by a Cardiologist. I. Major Responsibilities: Echocardiogram Performance Clinical Communication and Documentation Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning Department Readiness and Supply Management Collaboration Across Departments Quality Assurance and Mentorship Professional Development Heartlab System Management Age-Specific Competency II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education Required: 1 year of formal training or equivalent experience with equipment Current CPR certification Preferred: College degree RDCS certification or eligibility Experience/Skills Required: 23 years of dedicated cardiac experience (excluding training) Preferred: None specified Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
