SCL is home to a community of scholars and students who draw on the Western tradition and American constitutionalism to gain insight on what it takes to live well and lead well. All graduate assistants are to be under direct and assigned supervision of a regular member of the faculty and should regularly report on the conduct and performance of their duties to the supervising

faculty. Instruction

of teaching assistants shall be provided by the administrative unit, school or college employing them to prepare teaching assistants to carry out their assigned duties.

Students in Option III Master's Programs do not qualify. Purpose The School of Civic Leadership is seeking Graduate Assistants on a rolling basis for its faculty. As the School of Civic Leadership is an interdisciplinary unit, it seeks Teaching Assistants across a variety of academic fields, which include but are not limited to: Government/Political Science, History, Economics, Business, Statistics, Philosophy, and related fields. Your completed application will enter a pool of potential candidates for faculty members to choose from based upon graduate assistance needs. Responsibilities Assist with grading of assignments such as projects, exams, and essays. Host office hours Facilitate intellectual discussion sessions Monitor and track attendance, uphold attendance policy Proctor Exams Carry out additional academic administrative duties as assigned by instructor Required Qualifications

Current graduate student in Government/Political Science, History, Economics, Business, Statistics, Philosophy or a related field. Must be in good academic standing. Salary Range

Master's Student: $21.00/hr First Year Ph.D. Student: $23.00/hr Second Year Ph.D. Student: $25.00/hr Third year+ Ph.D. Student: $27.00/hr Required Materials
