CILA stands for Community Integrated Living Arrangement and works towards helping out adult clients with mental illness achieve independence through: teaching daily life skills, budgeting, meal planner, and meal preparation. Our CILA team is looking for another team member to join them in changing these often overlooked groups' lives with the ultimate goal to increase their client's quality of life. Their ideal team member would be able to: Work independently while having an open and effective line of communication with the team. Perform or learn to perform de-escalation techniques. Plan outings for clients independently/lead therapeutic group activities. Change their approach to teaching based on the client's personality. Maintain patience to teach a client how to do something instead of for them. Establish a healthy work-life balance Forget any preconceived notions of what mental illness looks like Assist clients with activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, monitoring medications). Helping clients safely access the community for basic needs and leisure activities. Job Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or higher education Advocate for individuals using professionalism and non-adversarial approach Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for recovery Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation Minimum (RSA) Essential Responsibilities: Work hours prescribed and any additional hours-deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. Overtime may be required. Supervise and manage the behavior of the residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences. Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills. Responsible for developing and presenting all resident education. Consult with other staff members and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift. May facilitate focal group discussion sessions. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with regulations. If designated, monitor self-administration of medicine by residents and record information on medical log. Oversee the cleanliness of the house, resident house jobs, and the proper use of equipment and supplies. Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned Schedule: 8-hour shifts Sunday - Thursday 3:30p-11:30p Job Type: Full-time Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials Starting pay - $18/hr Shift differentials: Additional pay based on regularly scheduled shift hours Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm): $.25/hr Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am): $.50/hr Work Location: Rosecrance CILA Benton
