Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily and strategic transportation operations of Morales Beverage Group. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Transportation Manager leads a team of supervisors, drivers, and transportation staff; oversees fleet operations; tracks transportation expenses; and supports continuous process improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and the ability to assist with deliveries as needed. Morales Beverage Group Values

Leadership & Team Development

Supervise, coach, and develop the transportation team, including supervisors, drivers, and support staff. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent application of policies and expectations. Conduct training and performance reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed. Route Planning & Optimization

Oversee the planning and execution of optimized delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective service. Utilize routing software and performance data to identify efficiencies and reduce delivery time and fuel use. Step in to assist with deliveries when necessary, including driving routes during peak periods or staff shortages. Compliance & Safety Oversight

Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations, including hours of service and driver qualifications. Lead safety meetings, driver training programs, and ongoing compliance audits. Maintain accurate records of driver logs, inspections, accidents, and safety performance. Fleet Coordination

Manage fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and vehicle repairs in coordination with internal and external maintenance teams. Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and inspection records. Ensure all vehicles meet legal and company standards for operation. Customer Service Support

Monitor and ensure on-time and accurate deliveries to meet customer expectations. Collaborate with customer service and warehouse teams to resolve service issues promptly. Foster a customer-first culture within the transportation team. Budget Tracking & Expense Monitoring

Track and report on transportation-related expenses such as fuel, labor hours, and maintenance costs. Support finance and operations leadership by providing accurate cost data and operational insights. Help identify cost-saving opportunities through improved routing, scheduling, and fleet efficiency. Reporting & Operational Metrics

Collect and analyze transportation KPIs including delivery accuracy, cost per mile, safety incidents, and fuel efficiency. Present regular reports and recommendations to leadership for operational improvements. Use logistics tools and software to monitor trends and performance benchmarks. Issue Resolution & Crisis Response

Serve as the point person for resolving daily operational issues and emergencies, including weather delays, vehicle breakdowns, and compliance violations. Develop contingency plans to minimize service disruptions and maintain delivery commitments. Behavior & Communication Expectations

Requirements Physical Requirements Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50 or more pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment or in the delivery field Must be able to operate a commercial vehicle as needed. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age High School diploma or GED preferred; additional education in logistics or supply chain preferred. 5+ years of transportation/logistics experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required ensure reliable, insured transportation is maintained. 1-3 years of warehouse experience is a plus 1-3 years of experience with Routing, ERP, or WMS systems required Strong knowledge of DOT regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred Driving record must be within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment. Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills. Proficiency in using GPS systems and operating multiple mobile device platforms. This position requires flexibility, including but not limited to availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
