Candidate's main responsibility will be providing guidance and support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Facility Ratings in compliance with NERC Reliability Standard FAC-008. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that Facility Ratings are developed based on technically sound principles and are accurately documented. He/She will also have a supporting role for other O&P Functions and NERC Standards. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain documentation for determining Facility Ratings of generator and/or transmission facilities. Develop and maintain methodologies and processes for determining Facility Ratings, ensuring they comply with NERC standards. Ensure that Facility Ratings do not exceed the most limiting applicable Equipment Rating of the individual equipment that comprises the facility. Work with Engineering & Construction, Power Generation, Compliance and Ethics and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent application of Facility Ratings. Provide training and support to internal teams and stakeholders on FAC-008 requirements and methodologies. Assist in preparing for and responding to NERC audits related to Facility Ratings as well as meeting NextEra internal controls to ensure compliance. Assist and support O&P Team on developing and maintaining Processes for other NERC Standards such as MOD-032 and EOP-012 Desired Qualifications
Experience in the electric utility industry, particularly in areas related to transmission and generation. Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, especially FAC-008. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Professional Engineer (PE) license or NERC certification. Previous experience as an SME for NERC standards or involvement in NERC compliance activities.
